The Ontario Licensed Guide.

What 'licensed in Ontario' means, why it matters, and how to confirm a site is legitimate.

What licensed in Ontario actually means

Licensed operators in Ontario are registered with iGaming Ontario (iGO) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). They follow provincial rules on advertising, fairness, deposit limits, and consumer protection. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is the province's own operator and follows the same regulatory spirit.

Why it matters

A licensed operator is accountable to a real Ontario regulator. That means clearer terms, fairer games, defined dispute paths, and active responsible gaming tools. Unregulated sites offer none of that.

How to check a site

  • Look for an Ontario-specific domain or product (e.g. on.brand.ca).
  • Find the iGaming Ontario or AGCO mention in the footer.
  • Confirm CAD currency and Ontario address requirements.
  • Cross-check against the iGaming Ontario operator list.

Why we only feature regulated options

We're a guide for Ontario adults. Featuring anything else would undermine the trust this site is built on.
